Cooking for Children - Tips to make your dishes more attractive

Easy meals such as a battlefield of us cooking for children. We spend hours preparing a nutritious meal, but ends up in tears with the caprices of the child at the tea table.

There are some simple guidelines to follow when cooking for children? I would say that after many years of experience and many whims, and my children that you can take some of the tension out of the kitchen for children.

My first rule when> Cooking for children is not to cook. Or at least cook less. Children love raw food and are very healthy. Keep a bit 'cut carrot sticks in the refrigerator. Wash, peel and chop finger enterprises, are a great snack. Houmous with a little peanut butter or perhaps they are extremely nutritious. Raw food is really good for children.

Using the same principle, why not try homemade smoothies. You can prepare in advance and refrigerated. Thisis one of the easiest ways for children to eat fruits and vegetables. You can also turn into a sort of pop-ice shakes by freezing them. They are lower in sugar products commercially available.

One thing you forget easily when cooking for children is that they have a small stomach. You need to eat little and often. The big meals, usually preparing for adults are too much for children. You can not just wait four hours for a meal. Youportions must hand in many healthy foods ready small.

When it comes to family, the main meal is the biggest problem is vegetables. Many young children to eat vegetables, especially green vegetables. The answer is for the creative work. Sauces there for a reason. Broccoli was certainly made for garlic butter sauce or cheese.

Some argue that children do not eat garlic. But if you are, are introduced slowly. Will soon become aTracks and is very healthy. The same goes for cheese. It is worthwhile to introduce the children different types of cheese. You may not like everyone, but will develop a taste for some. Cheese is a valuable source of calcium and vitamin D, which are important for the growth of strong bones and teeth.

It 'important for children to think of what we call "adult" Good, because this is the way to ensure that their diet is to introduce different. They avoid the trap that so many parents are in two meals to cook. A word of warning here: the kitchen for children not to add salt. Salt is very bad for babies and young children.

Many of the problems associated with the kitchen for the little ones can be overcome somehow cooking with children, not only for cooking. That is, let me help in the kitchen. I know that will make twice as much work and be twice as much confusion but it's worth the long term.> Cooking for kids should Have their introduction into the world of food and promoting a healthy relationship with food. And 'better for a child to learn something that you bake muffins with a care and love as something you take in a hurry and eat without thinking. You can ensure that they have shelled peas to eat and not have the plate.

Even after all these things done, there will always be time when the childrenJust do not eat the meal is prepared with love. This brings me to what could be the golden rule when cooking for children. At this point, you must resist the temptation to scream and throw food to them through the kitchen. Their refusal to eat is not a reflection on you or your kitchen. You're only human and so are you. The best solution is to learn to make soup or to keep some 'chickens in the yard. You will always eat what we cook. Well, almost always.

Absolutely Amazing - M. Hollander - Charlottesville, VA United States
This book is fantastic. We bought it on a recommendation from a friend about two years ago and it quickly became the go-to cookbook in our collection. The recipes are almost all delicious and none are too time consuming. That this became the go-to book for us is fairly amazing in and of itself in that we have 5 Moosewoods, the Joy of Cooking, a Williams Sonoma Veg cookbook (which is also great), and various other excellent books. Yet night after night, we come back to this book.

The organization by season is excellent if you are interested in trying to eat by what is in season.
